Naithon – just a short walk from the villa – is quite simply one of Phuket’s most exquisite beaches: a one-kilometre stretch of pristine, powder-soft sand surrounded by lush parkland. Spend the day relaxing on the beach, or explore the turquoise waters by snorkel or stand-up paddle, and then head out to one of the island’s world-class restaurants or beachfront bars or cafés for the evening. All are within easy reach of Villa Haleana, as are several of Phuket’s most interesting sights and leisure activities, including golf and yacht charters.
Layout
Villa Haleana is arranged over two storeys in a pair of pavilions positioned for prime sea and sunset views. Enter the villa on the upper floor, via a lovely landscaped garden. An open-plan living and dining area plus the guests’ and chef’s kitchens are housed in the larger pavilion. In the smaller pavilion, a media room leads to the first master suite. Extending across the front of the villa is the 18-metre pool and surrounding deck with awe-inspiring views. Take the lift or stairs down to the second master suite, four guest bedrooms and gym – all with sea-view balconies. The spa room is set to the rear of this floor, along with a second media room.
Living Areas
Indoor living
Unwind or entertain with flair in Villa Haleana’s elegant open-plan living and dining area, set under a dramatically peaked timber roof and with sliding glass doors opening to the pool terrace. The bright guest kitchen and breakfast bar is a good spot to enjoy some snacks and refreshments, while the chef’s kitchen, where your gourmet meals are prepared, is hidden away to the side.
Media rooms equipped with TVs and DVD players are situated on both floors of the villa. Escape to Villa Haleana’s lower floor for a restorative workout in the gym or a relaxing massage treatment in the spa room.
Outdoor living
With its 18-metre marble pool and beautiful views across Naithon Beach and the Andaman Sea, Villa Haleana’s sun terrace is an Instagram-ready spot. A dining sala for eight lies to one end of the pool while stylish black sun loungers are arranged at the opposite end. A table for four is set in front of a Zen garden area between the two pavilions.
A walled tropical garden offers a shady place to relax or play, while next to the villa is a cliff-top space perfect for a wedding ceremony or outdoor reception with an ocean view.
Bedrooms
Master suite 1
With its lavish ensuite bathroom and superb seascapes, this bedroom is a romantic haven for couples. Relax and take in the views or watch TV from the king-size bed and comfy loveseat, or indulge in a secluded soak in the free-form tub. Sliding glass doors open to the pool terrace and a dressing room fit for royalty enhances the suite’s ample comforts.
Master suite 2
More romance and extravagance await in the second master suite, reached through a grand marble entrance hall complete with a chandelier and exquisite art pieces. This king-bedded suite has a private balcony with wide sea views, a TV and an ensuite bathroom that’s a haven of cool marble luxury, with a glittering chandelier dangling above the freeform bathtub and a swish rain shower for two.
Guest bedrooms
Although these bedrooms are smaller than the master suites, three of the bedrooms offer a marble ensuite bathroom and a balcony with majestic sea views that will appeal to guests of all ages. All three bedrooms feature mirrored wardrobes, TVs and are furnished with a king-size bed. Best enjoyed by children, the fourth bedroom has the same breathtaking views and is appointed with twin beds that can be converted to a double bed. It is connected to the master suite by a door and can enjoy the master's bathroom amenities.

The English-speaking manager liaises with guests, and communicates their preferences to the chef and staff to ensure that everything is handled with smooth efficiency. An excellent source of local knowledge, the manager will be pleased to provide suggestions for sightseeing and dining out in Phuket, as well as assistance with tour and transport bookings.

The skilled chef prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks according to guest requirements. Meals are prepared from a suggestion menu of mainly Thai and some western dishes, tailored to accommodate special dietary needs and guest preferences.

A team of staff handles daily housekeeping duties, as well as assisting the chef with kitchen and dining service.

Dining
Thai food is justifiably world famous for its fragrant and exotic flavours, and Villa Haleana’s skilled personal chef offers guests an excellent opportunity to explore this delicious cuisine and enjoy meals carefully customised to individual tastes.
The villa’s suggestion menu brims with a tasty array of Thai dishes, set breakfasts and a selection of western dishes. Highlights include tom kha gai (delicious chicken soup made with coconut milk and fragrant galangal); gaeng phed ped yang (red curry with roasted duck); pla thod ta rod (crispy sea bass with five-flavour sauce), and the chef’s specialty Gaeng ka ree nue fak tong (beef tenderloin and pumpkin in Thai yellow curry).
The chef and kitchen team will take care of all the grocery shopping, sourcing only the freshest and best quality ingredients. Provisions are charged at cost plus a 20% handling fee and a government tax, and guests are requested to provide cash to cover groceries in advance. The staff will keep receipts for reference when settling the bills.

Spa
A relaxing spa treatment is a must at Haleana. The villa’s marble spa room is designed like a heavenly Turkish bath with spa beds, a steam sauna and a spa shower. Its jacuzzi, grandly elevated on a marble platform, is big enough for four people to relax in comfortably. There’s even a beauty salon with a reclining chair and sink for hair styling – perfect for brides and their entourage to prepare for the big event. Curtains between the massage area, the salon and the jacuzzi area offer added privacy for groups.
Phuket is home to many professional spa and beauty specialists, and your villa manager can arrange for the best to provide private in-villa treatments. GYM
Villa Haleana’s air-conditioned gym is available to guests 24 hours a day. This fitness room has floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy sea views while working out, and is well equipped with a treadmill, elliptical trainer, yoga mats, fit balls and a weight-training station.

A lift provides easy access for pushchair-bound youngsters and less-mobile elders, while exclusive use of the 18-metre pool gives families the freedom to splash and play without worrying about other guests. (There’s no safety fence, so a careful eye will need to be kept on non-swimmers.) The media room next to the upper-floor master suite can be converted to a child’s room if needed.
Children’s equipment, including high chairs, baby cots, changing tables and car seats can be sourced from local rental agencies for a small extra fee – just let us know your requirements when making your villa reservation. Likewise, if you fancy a night out during your stay, a reliable babysitting service can be arranged (extra charges apply).
Keeping the whole family happy and well fed is easy at Villa Haleana. Young guests will have fun choosing their own dishes from the villa menu, and the chef is open to discuss any special requests for meals and snacks, whether it’s toning down the spice level in a curry or having sandwiches sliced just so. Delicious Thai treats, such as chicken satay skewers, mango sticky rice or pad Thai noodles, might just be the keys to unlock picky eaters’ taste buds.
